Hired, conspired & fired: Sidney Powell is a trainwreck even by Trump’s standards

Remember three days ago, when we wrote about the Trump lawyer blaming a dead man for the election results? Well, she’s been fired.

Sidney Powell had such a brief tenure in the Trump team she practically hit the door on the way out. The Texan attorney and former federal prosecutor made global headlines last week following the catastrophic press conference. Powell claimed that some of the voting software was created under the direction of Hugo Chávez.

Powell was so out of control at the press conference even Rudy Giuliani sweated the hair dye right out of his hair.

Outside of the conspiracy-fuelled press conference, Powell has also vowed to release the “Kraken of evidence” and “blow up” Georgia with a “biblical” lawsuit.

Now’s she’s out in the cold, are things about to get very hot?

During the press conference, Powell alleged that the Dominion Voting Software used for the count in Georgia and other states was linked (by a “very strong witness”) to elections in Venezuela, under the direction of Chávez. Critics were quick to point out that the Dominion Voting Software was based in Ontario, Canada. Also, Hugo Chávez died in 2013.

Now, the Trump team are trying to distance themselves from this conspiracy hot potato. Rudy Giuliani released a statement claiming she was “not a member of the Trump Legal Team.”

You know things are bad when you are too crazy for Rudy Giuliani…

Fire people for following your instructions — classic Trump

Not that he needs a real excuse to fire anyone. He just lives for the chaos.

Powell now joins the long list of former White House employees. Trump’s famous catchphrase from his days on The Apprentice, “You’re fired,” now seems to be his motto as POTUS. This article estimates that 91 percent of Trump’s staff had been fired or had resigned by this month.

Sarah Cooper’s reaction says it all.
