If you are not frightened of a conservative majority already, now you will be.
Wow!! Scary AF!!😨😨😨
And entirely plausible.

The confirmation of Amy “Coathanger” Barrett has cemented a 6-3 conservative majority on the US Supreme Court. This is the future that conservative Republicans want for the US.
Understand this; this video isn’t meant to steer conservative people away from Trump.
It won’t scare conservatives, this is their motivation, their goal.
It’s meant to make normal people understand what’s at stake, have the appropriate amount of fear and anger to go VOTE.

Questions for lawmakers (mostly male): Where is the childfather? Will he be arrested?, punished? Traumatized for life? Burdened with the education and upbringing? They lay all the blame to the women and rule over their bodies! So infuriating! Women are not re-production machines!

Voter suppression and gerrymandering has allowed a minority of straight, wealthy, white men to hold on to power. Is it such a stretch to think these same people think upping the white population would cross a line?
Forced birth to prevent white minority population status in the US is an unspoken goal of some pro-lifers.
They pretend to care about life to gain power, but they are hypocritically pro death penalty, are against the social safety net, and don’t care about family separations.

Wealthy people will always have access to abortion.
But all those “family values” conservative phonies will need to figure out what to do when their mistresses get pregnant
— PW (@Pedsdoc106) October 27, 2020
This is exactly what will happen. You don’t get a little bit of Fascism you get it all. Trump has killed over 225K Americans. He would have no problem doing something like this.

And African American men are already pulled over for being just that.
Do we know of countries that do this? I immediately thought of how this plays out for Black men. Women could be next if laws are passed allowing police to arrest pregnant women or teens.

Banana Republicans don’t care about you after you are born. Otherwise, why won’t they wear a mask?
Not all but most GOP are hypocrites.
Pro-life is an ideology. They forget all humanity young and old were fetuses. Instead, GOP fought tooth and nails to pack the courts while 220,000 Americans faced an early death.
— JoEy Arth 🌎 Independent Voted 4 Biden/Harris (@JJDIDTIEBUCKLE_) October 27, 2020
And why would they try to destroy the Affordable Health Care Act in the middle of a pandemic?
So has the GOP helped hospitals plan to increase capacity for women giving birth? For unpaid medical bills for patients who can’t pay? For a higher maternal death rates? Have they helped adoption agencies plan for more babies needing foster care?
— GenericHuman (@generichuman101) October 27, 2020
The fact is, countries with legal access to abortion actually have fewer abortions. The Guttmacher Institute, an international reproductive health non-profit group based in the US, found that fewer people seek abortions in countries with legal access to the procedure, compared to where the procedure is either completely against the law, or permitted only to save a mother’s life.
It’s not about pro-life. It never has been. Or even pro-fetus, or they’d be fighting tooth and nail for women’s healthcare, especially pre-natal care. It’s about controlling women’s bodies and behavior. Nothing else.
— Ginger Rogue (@CopperSiren) October 27, 2020
Amnesty International is definitive: “preventing women and girls from accessing an abortion does not mean they stop needing one… it only forces people to seek out unsafe abortions.”
Wikimedia
People who won’t be told to put on a mask want to control women’s bodies. Morality is a smokescreen when men make laws to govern women.
For generations, young women have been ostracized from families, forced to quietly end pregnancies, or to give away their child in the name of religion and honor. It has always been about controlling women, not the sanctity of life. That is what they want us to go back to.

Just to state the obvious, abortions are performed only on people who can get pregnant in the first place. This means that denying abortions affects only their rights. Denying anything to only certain individuals is a clear case of discrimination.
If it was about men’s bodies there would be riots and possibly armed militias. Women are equally as angry when someone else tells them what they can do with their bodies. Especially when it’s a man. Women deserve the right to choose.

A conservative majority Supreme Court will be making the rules long past when the senators who rushed Amy “Coathanger” Barrett through are around to gloat.
Yep these old white men that will probably be dead in the next 10 years do not care what they just did to women of all ages. They think women are meant to be looked at, bedded, and to be silent. I want to see more women running in all types of government positions.

Wealthy people will always be able to afford abortions.
This could be true and sadly she could be one of the lucky girls who would be fortunate enough to have money to get to a border and the support of her mother.

When comedian Michelle Wolf took on abortion rights on her show, The Break, she joked that because she was wealthy and lived in a blue state, that she would “always be able to get an abortion.” Wolf’s point was that other women are not so lucky: the WHO estimates that “25 million unsafe abortions take place each year.”
A point that should have been made in this video is that the wealthy will have access to safe abortions. They will pay big bucks - in cash - to get the best care for their daughters and or mistresses!!

Of course, the party that gives tax breaks to the rich are happy to block the poor and marginalized from getting anything.
It’s a damn shame because they say they’re pro-life but when the baby is seeing the light of day Republicans won’t deliver some sort of Child Care package for the parents or single Mother or Father. For the GOP, Pro-life is just an ideology.
— Trey 2hype (@Trey_2Hype) October 27, 2020
Happy to keep the poor poor. Even if they are living with a partner or family, if fear or lack of access causes a woman to carry their child to term, they are now responsible for caring for a child on the same marginal income that they had before, or less if this prevents them from being able to work.
I’m a man in his 50s but my late mother remembered the time when abortion wasn’t legal in the UK. A time of backroom abortions, of pain, fear, infection and even fatalities. She always said banning abortions didn’t stop them, they just made them dangerous for the poor.

Pregnant women are already in enough danger.
Also, pregnant women are the most at risk demographic for murder by the romantic partner/father of the child. Now take away abortion as an option and see how many more women are killed by the fathers of those babies before they can be born.

There were abortions before Roe v Wade became the law of the land.

Unskilled practitioners can injure or kill with methods that range from bizarre to barbaric. Even a fully trained physician would be compromised in their work because they would have to function in a way that shielded them from being discovered. Illegal, unsafe abortions are, “the third leading cause of maternal deaths worldwide,” according to the World Health Organization (WHO). And these unsafe procedures, “lead to an additional five million largely preventable disabilities.”
Overturning Roe v. Wade will kill more people than it saves.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a giant of women’s rights. Amy “Coathanger” Barrett is…not.
I was a child of the 60s and it was not unusual to hear on the evening news about back alley clinics, botched abortions or attempted home abortions by wire hanger. There were some states with limited abortions but many could not afford to travel, hotel, etc. Ginsburg stopped it
