When a small child, wanders off in a mall and is separated from his or her parents, it is terrifying for the parent and child. Multiply that feeling by 545, and we have a veritable catastrophe on your hands.
The situation isn’t hypothetical. Lawyers have not been able to reach the parents of 545 children who were separated from their families by Trump’s border officials between 2017 and 2018.
How. 👏🏽
Does.👏🏽
This.👏🏽
Happen?👏🏽Consider the terror parents feel when we lose sight of our children in a public space for a split second—let alone the look on the face of a child looking for their parents.
