Hours before Mike Pence was due to make his speech to accept the nomination for the Vice Presidency during the Republican National Convention, the Lincoln Project released another ad that opens with footage of Pence discussing “Adultery”. It may be the Super PAC’s most brutal ad yet.

The President of the United States has been accused of sexual misconduct, extramarital affairs, and even rape.

Thou shalt not commit adultery

A man spoke out vehemently against the increasing acceptance of breaking the 7th Commandment: “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” He stated that “it’s the most important promise you shall ever make.” Apparently, there is nothing more important than “holding people accountable.”

That man was Mike Pence.

Twenty-five women have accused Donald Trump of sexual misconduct — throughout all three of his marriages.

‘Adultery’ is the most shrewd and savage to date

The Lincoln Project is the political action committee responsible for some of the most devastating anti-Trump ads to result from this election campaign. The group was started by high-profile Republicans like George Conway, whose wife Kellyanne works in the White House. (The Conway couple recently announced they would both be stepping back from their duties, however.)

In “Adultery” the Lincoln Project delivered what some are calling their most crushing ad to date. The ad takes footage of Mike Pence (before he became Vice President) when he was a conservative radio talk show host. His tirade against adultery is played over a chilling timeline and ominous music.

The timeline is the number of women Donald Trump is alleged to have slept with during his many marriages.

The message portrayed is painfully clear: Mike Pence is a hypocrite who has been effectively eating his words for the last four years. He has stood by the President despite all his supposed Christian values.

The Lincoln Project doesn’t hold back. The ad ends with the message:

MIKE PENCE: LOOK WHAT DONALD TRUMP GRABBED THIS TIME.

Twitter sure hates hypocrites

The video was launched on Twitter where it ignited a bombardment of outrage. Many users were quick to vilify both the adulterous President and his “hypocritical sidekick.”

“Adultery” provoked a conversation on Twitter about the hypocrisy of politicians grabbing the coattails of Christianity to rise to power. Some users felt that the Christian Church in the United States is becoming increasingly entrenched in partisan politics.

In this latest ad, a younger Trump was shown partying with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender. The two men are seen mingling with women who appear much younger than them.

“Adultery” inspired a chorus of suggestions from Twitter users of people that the Lincoln Project left out. Jerry Falwell Jr. is a high-ranking member of the Christian Evangelical Church. The prominent evangelical was known for his lavish lifestyle and his $1 million salary as President of Liberty University.

He resigned from the post on Tuesday after being embroiled in a series of sex scandals, one involving a pool boy and more recently watching his wife have sex with his business partner. He is a keen supporter of Trump, and many believe his 2016 endorsement helped the President come to power.

…and Ghislaine Maxwell?

Ghislaine Maxwell is a British socialite and one-time girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein. Earlier this year, she was convicted of working as an ally to Epstein. She is in prison on charges of trafficking under-age girls into the sex trade. She has pleaded not guilty and will go to trial in July 2021.

In a recent interview, Donald Trump wished her well.

Is ‘Adultery’ enough to put off voters

There was a cynic thread following the video. Many users felt that even the many allegations of sexual misconduct that demonstrate a misogynistic and mistrustful character, would not be enough to put off voters.
