Federal website for national stockpile quietly changed after Kushner caught lying

Jared Kushner made the claim that the national stockpile of medical supplies was not meant for states to use during a Thursday news conference.

Then on Friday, the Strategic National Stockpile’s webpage was changed to reflect Kushner’s description.

Originally, the website said the stockpile ensures “state, local, tribal, and territorial responders” can get the supplies they need “during an emergency.” It also stated that the “repository contains enough supplies to respond to multiple large-scale emergencies simultaneously.”

Kushner, in essence, lied that it wasn’t for states to use calling it “our stockpile.”

A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services, Katherine McKeogh, claims that the website update was planned before Kushner’s remarks were made. McKeogh claimed, “This is language we have been using in our messaging for weeks now.”

Regardless, the timing of the change is extremely suspicious.
