Hypocrisy much? Nikki Haley sent classified material over insecure Blackberry phone

Remember those ‘lock her up’ chants for a certain POTUS aide who was sending classified information over an insecure server?

Republicans might want to bring those back. For a certain Trump official.

According to The Daily Beast, Nikki Haley, the former ambassador to the United Nations, has been using her insecure Blackberry phone to send ‘classified information’.

In July 2017, the Trump administration was on high-alert because North Korea was testing intercontinental ballistic missiles with a range reaching as far as Alaska. But Haley was using her BlackBerry 10 smartphone and sending “confidential” communications through an unclassified system.

Why?

Because she lost her password, “Can’t find my password for the high side,” Haley wrote in one of the emails obtained by The Daily Beast. In other words, she was doing exactly what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was accused of doing.

Austin Evers, executive director at American Oversight, discussed the incident:

“Ambassador Haley may have found it inconvenient to update her password but, as we all know, ‘convenience’ is not an acceptable reason to skirt information security rules. She should be held to the same standard as everyone else.”

For an administration seemingly obsessed with “mishandling classified information” in emails, they aren’t making much of a fuss over Haley’s indiscretion.
